Description
Recommended Fabrics: Medium- to heavy-weight stable knits, such as boiled wool knit, double knit, stretch velour, ponte, scuba knit, boucle knit, french terry, or stretch fleece. You should be looking for a stable knit that has a lot of structure, is low in drape, and holds a press well. Knits with a lot of stretch and drape are not suitable and should be avoided.
Notions: Coordinating all-purpose thread, ballpoint needle, 1.25 yard fusible knit interfacing.
Skills learned: Sewing with stable knit fabrics, installing knit sleeves, sewing and installing a collar, adding facings.
Difficulty: I believe that if you set your mind to something, you can accomplish it. My fully-illustrated 27-page instruction manual will walk you through every technique, teaching you along the way. I have also included sections on how to choose fabric, how to shorten or lengthen a pattern, how to fit the pattern, as well as cutting layouts for each view and size. From adventurous beginner looking to learn to experienced sewist looking for the next level, this pattern is appropriate for many skill levels.
