The Chi-Town Chinos pattern features a relaxed-fit, straight-leg shorts pattern (4.5″ inseam), a skirt pattern, and four different back pocket options. Expansion Pack No. 1 includes front and back pant pattern pieces to make fitted, knee-length shorts (10.5″ inseam) with french seamed back welt pockets–but you may intermix welt pockets and patch pockets between the base pattern and expansion pack! Add patch pockets to knee-length shorts or welt pockets to the original relaxed-fit shorts or skirt.

Las cosas no siempre salen bien. De hecho, al principio salen mal casi todas. Y luego... pues depende. El vestido que que hice antes del verano tiene un siete en la falda (aunque queda bien tapado con el lazo) y el pantalón de pana que hice después me queda enorme, seguramente por una mala combinación de tela/patrón/talla.

Pero hemos venido a jugar. Y creo que es importante visualizar que a veces se invierte tiempo, dinero y esfuerzo en cosas que no siempre acaban siendo lo que pensabas que serían. Además de que aquí cuelgo lo que hago, no solo lo que hago bien. Así que, aunque tarde, ahí queda eso.

Things not always go right. In fact, they almost all go wrong at first. And then… well, it depends. I accidentally cut through the skirt of the dress I made before Summer (though the bow conceals it well) and the corduroy pants I made afterwards are too big on me, probably because of some kind of misguided fabric/pattern/size combination.

I’m still learning. And it’s important to show that sometimes we invest time, money and effort in things that don’t always end up being what you thought they would be. Besides I post here what I do, not only what I do well. So here they are, in all their glory.
