using these!
Brilliant. B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T! I have a feeling this will be an answer to prayer for those of you who can’t afford to replace your countertops, but still want to update things. She gives a full tutorial on how she did it here.
Go visit Maureen’s blog My Love of Home and thank her for her brilliance!
THIS IS THE INSPIRATION I NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH. MY. GOODNESS. I'm so excited.
Such a wonderful idea, and the finished product looks amazing!
This looks awesome! I never would have thought a bit of spray paint would be durable enough to be a countertop.
I will be checking back with her on the long-term durability. I did just find out this is in the laundry room. I'll post any updates I get!
That's amazing! It really looks like it's newly-installed! Looks like I wouldn't need to remove my old counter top just to renovate my kitchen once I use those products.
I wonder if this solution would be tough enough to stand up to my countertop/sink combo in the bathroom. It's so darn ugly and chances are slim my landlord is gonna replace it anytime soon (he's planning on taking over the house in a few years and will probably gut the bathroom at that time). If I could just pretty it up in the meantime, I wouldn't be so embarrassed to let guests use my bathroom!
How has it held up against water and the usual everyday abuse?
Anyone tried this in a bathroom? Wondering how durable it would be. Would love,love,LOVE to try this in my guest bathroom with the hideous eggshell, stained counters!
Hello! Please tell Maureen that here it 2015 and people are still living this idea for countertops! I am currently working on my old yellow laminate kitchen countertops and doing this project. So far I am LOVING the look of them. ( I’m currently letting the poly dry on them) I would love to post my before and after pics somewhere in your or her blog! Thanks so much for posting this year’s ago!
Instructions?
So you did polyurethane, Fusion and then the stone spray paint or did you do a primer, Fusion and stone spray paint?
I’d use resin instead of clear top spray. Last way longer.
I did this and absolutely love it. I just wish I would have found this 2 years ago.
I rent. Its an older home. With landlords permission,I am going to paint the counter top in kitchen using this method.
How long does at last
