Christmas is great, isn’t it? This year, I wanted to capture the memories in a cooler way than normal. Thus, we have video! Enjoy.
Most of this was done in iMovie. The timelapsed portion of opening presents was captured via my iSight with a program (for Apple computers only, sorry guys!) called Gawker (thanks Marc for the idea). I did have a minor problem, though, with the QuickTime file that Gawker shot out when it finished–for some reason, neither iMovie, iPhoto nor iTunes would import the file. Long story short, I was told by Apple’s Help Desk to purchase QuickTime Pro so that I could re-export the file (the current version of Gawker was written for Mac’s Tiger operating system and I have Leopard). But, since you can find just about anything on the Web, I went on a search for a FREE way to convert this file. I was in luck! I found Media Convert which did the conversion for free and all was finally well with the file.
I’m definitely learning these programs–the ins AND the outs!
P.S. The music is, as credited, Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Wizards in Winter.”
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
